Justin Valanzola and Sarah Boyle

Husband and wife Justin Valanzola and Sarah Boyle, with cats CB and Archie, read the Quran soon after getting home from work. The couple converted to Islam while attending the university. On the last day of Ramadan in December 2001, Justin Valanzola came home after services at a local mosque, having just accepted Islam, and poured $300 worth of alcohol from his liquor cabinet down the drain. Alcohol and partying were two of the things he decided he didn't need anymore - the College of Education graduate student had found something else: religion. The men and women of the believers are friends of one another. They command what is right and forbid what is wrong, and establish prayer and pay alms, and obey Allah and His Messenger. They are the people on whom Allah will have mercy. Allah is Almighty, All-Wise. (Koran, 9:71)
