Invite all to the way of your Lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching

Invite all to the way of your Lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching. And argue with them in ways that are best and most gracious... And if you punish, let your punishment be proportional to the wrong that has been done to you. But if you show patience, that is indeed the best course. Be patient, for your patience is from God. And do not grieve over them, or distress yourself because of their plots. For God is with those who restrain themselves, and those who do good. Qur'an 16:125-128

And women have rights similar to those [of men] over them in kindness," [Quran, 2:228]

The Quran says, "And women have rights similar to those [of men] over them in kindness," [Quran, 2:228]. In this verse that speaks of rights and duties the Quran has affirmed equality. The verse continues and says, "And men are a degree above them." This degree is clarified in another verse that discusses the issue of maintenance, which is a responsibility rather than an honor, "Men shall take full care of women with the bounties which God has bestowed more abundantly on the former than on the latter, and with what they may spend out of their possessions," [Quran, 4:34]. Islam made it obligatory for men to support and care for women, similarly this is one of the rights that women can demand of men.

Taqwa is an action of heart which fears Allah and His punishment through righteous deeds

Taqwa is an action of heart which fears Allah and His punishment through righteous deeds. This taqwa can do wonderful things, once understood and implemented in the life of individuals as well as the soceity. Let us see some verses. O ye who believe! Fear Allah, and (always) say a word directed to the Right: That He may make your conduct whole and sound and forgive you your sins: He that obeys Allah and His Messenger, has already attained the highest achievement. Despite the social acceptance of female infanticide among some Arabian tribes

Despite the social acceptance of female infanticide among some Arabian tribes, the Qur'an forbade this custom, and considered it a crime like any other murder. "And when the female (infant) buried alive - is questioned, for what crime she was killed." (Qur'an 81:8-9). Criticizing the attitudes of such parents who reject their female children, the Qur'an states: When news is brought to one of them, of (the Birth of) a female (child), his face darkens and he is filled with inward grief! With shame does he hide himself from his people because of the bad news he has had! Shall he retain her on (sufferance) and contempt, or bury her in the dust? Ah! What an evil (choice) they decide on? (Qur'an 16: 58-59).

Islam recognizes the right of the individual not to be arrested or imprisoned for the offences of others

Islam recognizes the right of the individual not to be arrested or imprisoned for the offences of others. The Holy Qur’an has laid down this principle clearly: "No bearer of burdens shall be made to bear the burden of another" (6:164). Islam believes in personal responsibility. We ourselves are responsible for our acts, and their consequences cannot be transferred to someone else. It is a matters of great regret and shame* that we are seeing this just and equitable principle, which has been framed by the Creator and Nourisher of the entire universe, being flouted and violated before our eyes. So much so that if a man is guilty of a crime or if he is a suspect, he wife is also liable to arrest. Indeed, things have gone so far that innocent people are being punished for the crimes of others.

An Athiest is a person who dosent believe in existance of God.. "And man saith: When I am dead, shall If orsooth be broughtforth alive ? Doth not man remember that We created him before, when he was naught" (Surah 19, verses 66,67) "Hath not man seen that We have created him from a drop of seed ? Yet lo! He is an open opponent. And he hath coined for Us a similitude, and hath forgotten the fact of his creation, saying: Who will revive these bones when they have rotted away? Say: He will revive them Who produced them at the first, for He is Knower of every creation " ( Surah 36, verses 77, 78,79).

Christianity cannot compromise on the question of polygamy

Billy Graham the eminent Christian evangelist has recognized this fact on Polygamy: Christianity cannot compromise on the question of polygamy. If presentday Christianity cannot do so it is to its own detriment. Islam has permitted polygamy as a solution to social ills and has allowed a certain degree of latitude to human nature but only within the strictly defined framework of the law. Christian countries make a great show of monogamy but actually they practice polygamy. No one is unaware of the part mistresses play in Western society. In this respect Islam is a fundamentally honest religion and permits a Muslim to marry a second wife if he must but strictly forbids all clandestine amatory associations in order to safeguard the moral probity of the community.

According to the Qur’an, man and woman are two units of a pair

According to the Qur’an, man and woman are two units of a pair. When both are taken independent of each other, there are ceretain obvious vacuums in the mental, physical and emotional personalities of each. God has created the two in such a way that they complement each other in different ways, so that these vacuums are generally removed to a great extent. For this very purpose, God gave different mental, physical and emotional qualities to the male and the female. These different mental, physical and emotional qualities, on the one hand complement man and woman, and on the other establishes for them different spheres of activity in their interpersonal relationships. According to the Qur’an, man, for two reasons, should be the head of the family: One, because he is given the responsibility of earning the livelihood for the family (i.e. he is to strive for the provision of the financial requirements of the family); and two, because he is given the mental, physical and emotional qualities that suitable.

Aparthied - Means Racial Seperation of Human beint. i.e. White and blacks. The system of racial segregation first promulgated by the largely Afrikaner National Party of South Africa in 1948. Petty apartheid meant the separation of facilities such as lavatories, transport, parks, and theatres into two groups: white and non-white. Helen Suzman, a celebrated South African MP and anti-apartheid campaigner, has died at the age of 91 on 1 Jan 2009. For 13 years, Mrs Suzman, the daughter of Jewish Lithuanian immigrants, was the only MP to openly condemn South Africa's whites-only apartheid regime. "0 human beings! We have indeed created you of a male and a female and made you into nations and tribes so that you may know one another. Surely the most honorable of you with God is the one among you who is most deeply conscious of Him. Surely, God is Knowing, Aware. (The Quran, 49:13)

The Prophet (pbuh) has laid down the basis on which the marital relationship is established

The Prophet (pbuh) has laid down the basis on which the marital relationship is established. He (pbuh) has enjoined his followers to treat their wives well. He says: "I enjoin you to be good to your women." We cannot fulfill the prophet's instructions unless we establish a relationship with our wives on the basis of mutual care and kindness. The Prophet (pbuh) has highlighted the importance of taking good care of our women when he (pbuh) made that one of the three areas to which he has drawn our attention just before he (pbuh) passed away. He (pbuh) repeated these recommendations: "Attend regularly to your prayer. Do not charge your slaves with what they cannot bear. Fear Allah in your treatment of woman." With all this emphasis on taking good care of women, Islam has outlined certain rights and duties for both man and woman which must be honored. Both can claim equal rights against each other, except for those minor differences which are necessitated by the nature of their roles and the way they are created.

Rachel gave her life in Palestine

Rachel gave her life in Palestine opposing a gross injustice against a helpless people who were living in peace on their land and suddenly found themselves uprooted, pushed into the desert, mountain, and sea, and turned into refugees, becoming the lost Palestinians. Rachel showed such courage and humanity that would shame the most hardened abusers of human rights and the most heartless politicians. "...and nearest among them in love to the believers will you find those who say, 'We are Christians,' because amongst these are men devoted to learning and men who have renounced the world, and they are not arrogant" (Quran 5:82).

Steven Feuerstein stands with members of the Chicago Palestinian community protesting the speaking engagement of Israeli Deputy Defense Minister Ephraim Sneh Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2000, at the 13th Annual Dinner of the Chicago Friends of the Israel Defense Forces. Quran Says [3:113] They are not all the same; among the followers of the scripture, there are those who are righteous. They recite GOD's revelations through the night, and they fall prostrate. [3:114] They believe in GOD and the Last Day, they advocate righteousness and forbid evil, and they hasten to do righteous works. These are the righteous. [3:115] Any good they do will not go unrewarded. GOD is fully aware of the righteous.

Allah's Apostle said. "It is one of the greatest sins that a man should curse his parents

Allah's Apostle said. "It is one of the greatest sins that a man should curse his parents." It was asked (by the people), "O Allah's Apostle! How does a man curse his parents?" The Prophet said, "'The man abuses the father of another man and the latter abuses the father of the former and abuses his mother." Bukhari :: Book 8 :: Volume 73 :: Hadith 4 Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Amr:

And when the female infant buried alive is questioned, for what crime she was killed? - Al Qur'an 81:8-9

And when the female infant buried alive is questioned, for what crime she was killed? - Al Qur'an 81:8-9. When news is bought to one of them of the birth of a female child, his face darkens and he is filled with inward grief! With shame does he hide himself from his people because of the bad news he has had! Shall he retain her on sufferance and contempt, or bury her in the dust? Ah! What an evil choice they decide on. - Al Qur'an 16:58-59. These two verses from the Qur'an are saying that those who bury their daughters alive will suffer hellfire. The first one is speaking in the future tense towards the questioning from God on the day of the resurrection. When God questions the baby girl she cannot answer this question and will go to Heaven. When the father and those responsible are questioned he will not be able to give a response to satisfy God or his soul and so is condemned to the hellfire.

An orphan is a person (typically a child)

An orphan is a person (typically a child), who has lost both his/her parents, often through death. The Qur'an speaks of the reward waiting for those who feed orphans, poor and the prisoner for the love of God. Quran 76 8 And they give food out of love to the poor and the orphan and the captive. 9 "We only feed you for the sake of God; we do not desire from you any reward or thanks." 10 "We fear from our Lord a Day, which will be horrible and difficult."

In 2005, Danny and Marleny Hernandez moved to Cairo, Egypt with their three children

In 2005, Danny and Marleny Hernandez moved to Cairo, Egypt with their three children. For the next three years they studied Arabic and the fundamentals of Islam, hoping to instill Muslim morals and etiquette in their children. Islam is a religion for all people from whatever race or background they might be. That is why Islamic civilization is based on a unity which stands completely against any racial or ethnic discrimination. Such major racial and ethnic groups as the Arabs, Persians, Turks, Africans, Indians, Chinese and Malays in addition to numerous smaller units embraced Islam and contributed to the building of Islamic civilization. Moreover, Islam was not opposed to learning from the earlier civilizations and incorporating their science, learning, and culture into its own world view, as long as they did not oppose the principles of Islam.
